The more we know about you, the more we can strive to put those personal touches on our journeys to make the memories for you to share.

In planning your trip, we may ask for some information: some of it may be mandatory and some of it optional.  In return, we promise to protect this information and ensure its confidentiality. We agree not to sell or exchange this information with anyone.

Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk welcomed the Privacy Amendments (Private Sector) Act 2000 (& the subsequent amendments to this Act) and the 10 Privacy Principles the Act introduced, and tries to use privacy compliant suppliers where possible.

Security Policy & Purchasing online

We take data security very seriously.  When purchasing from Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk your financial/credit card details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 128-bit SSL encryption is the current industry standard. Our email newsletter: On Track, our email newsletter provides regular updates and articles about Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk, upcoming walks and new journeys.  To sign up we request your email address, your first name and surname and your country of residence. Your choice to opt out is respected and you may unsubscribe at any time by using the link provided on every newsletter.

What about the website? We are proud of our website and we constantly seek to improve the services we offer. As part of these efforts, we collect certain information about visitors to our website. This data includes (but is not limited to) domain and/or web browser information. We may track which website you visited before arriving at our site and the website you link to when you leave us. We may also keep a record of which pages you visit on our site and how long you spend on each page.   This information is general data and cannot be traced back to you personally.

The sort of information we ask for

You can make a booking on a Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk journey either over the phone or by completing the booking form on our website at www.twelveapostleslodgewalk.com.au/book . We will ask you to provide some basic information about yourself (such as your name, mailing address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date) so we can contact you and process your booking. We may also need your gender and age for identification purposes. However, as we progress we may ask for a little more information to help us create great travel experiences for you. These are the sorts of things we may ask.

Dietary Requirements: These days, many people prefer or are required to follow certain diets. We try to accommodate these choices and needs whenever possible. To accomplish this, your dietary preferences need to be recorded in your booking. This information is then given to your guides, who will in turn contact our various providores, restaurants and hotels to ensure that your requirements can be met.

Physical and Health Details: We need to obtain information about your age, gender, height and general health so that we can provide you with the appropriate walking equipment and ensure your personal health and safety.

Pre/post tour contact information: We request your pre and post tour information to help us at the start and end of the trip.  Sometimes, people are already in holiday mode and are running a little late to meet us.  If we know where you have stayed or if you are flying in that morning, we know whether to wait for you or make alternative transfer arrangements.   Your departure details help us plan our return journey to Melbourne.

Personal Preferences: The places we visit on our walks are unique and many of our suppliers have many more activities available than what they showcase to the general public.  If we know you have a special interest or preferences or are celebrating a special occasion please let us know at the time of your booking. This information is passed on to your Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk Guides who may release this information to our third party suppliers while on a trip. We maintain a record of this information to ensure that when you travel with us again, these personal preferences are remembered and catered for. We keep a record of past journeys you have taken with us, allowing us to understand the type of activities or trips you prefer and to determine what other journeys you might find interesting.

Other information: Brochures & journey information:  We use your address information and your preferences to mail you selected brochures and journey guidelines.  If at any point you wish to have your name removed from our mailing list, please contact us at unsubscribe@twelvapostleslodgewalk.com.au or by phone on 1300 767 416.  Sometimes when we mail you a brochure we may send your address to an external company, which processes the mailing on our behalf.  We use contractual and other means to protect your information while our suppliers are processing it.  We ensure our suppliers are privacy compliant.

Feedback and Questionnaires:  When you travel with us, we may ask you for feedback on the quality of the journey you experienced, components individually and as a whole.  This feedback is used to improve the delivery of our journeys in future.  General feedback will be passed back to our suppliers, where relevant, but will not contain individual customer details.
